This page explains what information Tagotic may collect, how it may be used, and how it may be shared.
Tagotic is designed so users can choose how personally identifying their account is. You may use a username and email address of your choice, including a privacy-focused email provider if you prefer.
Tagotic may process IP addresses and derived technical identifiers to support security, rate limits, duplicate-submission controls, anti-spam protections, fraud prevention, moderation, and enforcement of site rules.
Where practical, Tagotic uses privacy-protective derived identifiers rather than storing raw IP addresses in application-level abuse-prevention records. These identifiers help recognize repeated activity from the same network address, but they are not displayed publicly and are not intended for advertising or cross-site tracking.
For logged-in users, Tagotic does not store IP-derived identifiers on application-level review, summary, or comment records. Temporary account-registration abuse-prevention identifiers are generally redacted after 30 days, meaning the identifier is removed or replaced with a non-identifying placeholder. Email addresses remain linked to accounts; users may choose what email address they provide.
For anonymous reviews, summaries, and comments, Tagotic may temporarily store IP-derived identifiers for duplicate-submission controls, anti-spam protections, and moderation. These application-level identifiers are generally redacted after 30 days, meaning the identifier is removed or replaced with a non-identifying placeholder.
Anonymous vote identifiers may be retained longer to maintain a consistent voting record and reduce vote manipulation.
Some infrastructure providers, security logs, payment processors, or analytics services may process technical information as part of operating, protecting, and maintaining the service.
Tagotic uses Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate website usage, such as page views, referrers, and general traffic trends. Plausible is intended to provide privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics and does not track visitors across unrelated websites.
Tagotic uses this information to improve the site, understand which pages are useful, and monitor general traffic patterns.
Reviews, ratings, tags, votes, profile text, and similar user contributions may be visible to other users or to the public depending on how the site is designed and operated.
Do not submit information you do not want displayed, retained, or associated with your account.
Tagotic may display aggregated charts, counts, summaries, and feature statistics derived from user-submitted reviews, ratings, tags, votes, and other activity. These analytics may reflect both logged-in and anonymous submissions where applicable.
These statistics are generated from aggregated user activity and opinions and are provided for informational and expressive purposes. They are not independently verified factual measurements and may not fully or reliably characterize a movie, feature, or audience view.
Tagotic may use cookies, session tokens, browser storage, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, maintain site state, improve performance, and support security-related functions.
Tagotic does not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of running the service, but may share information:
Application-level IP-derived identifiers used for account-registration abuse prevention, anonymous reviews, anonymous summaries, and anonymous comments are generally redacted after 30 days, meaning the identifier is removed or replaced with a non-identifying placeholder, except where retention is reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or service integrity.
Backup copies may retain data for a limited additional period according to Tagotic's backup retention practices.
Tagotic takes reasonable steps to protect information, but no method of transmission, storage, or online service can be guaranteed completely secure.
Tagotic is not intended for children under 13, and children under 13 should not use the site or provide personal information through it.
Tagotic does not currently guarantee routine user-initiated deletion of accounts, submitted content, or associated activity history. Account closure, content removal, and related retention decisions may be handled at Tagotic’s discretion in order to preserve site integrity, moderation history, records, analytics, and service continuity.
Where applicable law gives users specific privacy or data rights, Tagotic may respond to qualifying requests in accordance with those legal obligations and any applicable exceptions.
General privacy questions may be sent to support@tagotic.com.
Tagotic may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
